In General
Animals in need was formed in 1990 to help out other animal charities.
In December 1995 we started doing the rescue work in the Northampton area.
Maxicare Death Row Dogs was started in March 1996 as we found out over five hundred dogs had been destroyed the previous year.
In February 1998 we became a registered charity.

In 2002 we dealt with 368 animals
In 2003 we dealt with 923 animals
In 2004 we dealt with 1087 animals
In 2005 we dealt with 1206 animals
In 2006 we dealt with 1379 animals
In 2007 we dealt with 1667 animals
Equipment
We have an animal ambulance, two boats, one caravan & trailer and various rescue equipment.
Aims
Our Long term aim is to get our own sanctuary incorporating a wildlife hospital and low cost neutering and spaying.
