Kittens stolen from sanctuary

03 June 2013 - 21:23

Police are investigating after two six-week-old kittens were stolen from us at the weekend.

Whisper, a grey male, and Wonder, a black female, were taken from the vet surgery some time between 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, June 1.

The thief left only their sister, Precious, in the cage.

Annie Marriott said: “If they had stolen the older kittens who have been vaccinated and microchipped I wouldn’t worry as much. These kittens have not had their vaccines, which means they could catch any life-threatening illness.

“A few weeks ago a bottle of scotch was stolen from our raffle table and we’ve had a charity collection tin stolen before, but a life is different. Why come in here and specifically target those kittens?

“I just want them back. We’ve put up a £100 reward for their safe return. Someone has to know who has them.

“I just hope they come back, or who ever has them is looking after them.”
